Good point. Dubai's problem is they tried to build too fast and it backfired on them it seems. I can't remember is it Dubai that has the indoor ski resort?

they dont have oil so they needed to figure out a way to bring the state money. so what they did was say to themselves "lets build things nobody has ever seen before, lets build on a scale that will blow people away, lets make it a tourist destination.

problem is, the business plan could and would never work. you cant spend trillions and trillions without having any evidence for a demand by people to visit.
