I'm no supporter of whaling...but...I can't help but wonder why captains and crews just put up with Greenpeace / Sea Shepherd type sabotage? I'd plot to skink them if I was skipper on one of the affected boats....whether it be ramming them or having my crew armed with heavy caliber rifles and armour piercing rounds. Why just put up with it?

They're out in the middle of the ocean in international waters....no witnesses around once the people on the ship sink and die. Good luck trying that case and proving it wasn't just a terrible accident caused by the Sea Shepherd being reckless and aggressive.

WTF? This is isn't the movie pirates of the caribean, they still have have international laws out in the open sea. Plus you forgot about this little invention called camera. Everyting they do is recorded so I don't think whatever the story they'd come with after shooting the ship with an armor piercing round is gonna fly to much.
