This snowball cannot be stopped. Dude has already lost control over half his country. More importantly, the people have realized that they needn't be afraid of him any more. And the one thing any dictator fears is when people quit being afraid. I think his days are numbered.

That's what I figured you meant. I totally agree we need to stay out of it this time. Iraq is a damn good reason why we can't go in there and try and help them with democracy.Originally posted by Mr incredible View PostI blame the Italians, they created the place!
I just mean in a military sense let's not get involved, and if its an oil issue, let BP deal fucken pay for it, not our people with more lives of sons and daughters lost

Gadhafi blames violence on young people, drugs, al Qaeda - CNN.com
"Benghazi, Libya (CNN) -- Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi on Thursday blamed the violence in his country on young people, who he said are taking some sort of pills and being exploited by Osama bin Laden.
Speaking by phone on state TV as reports came in of pro-Gadhafi forces killing unarmed civilians in the town of Zawiya, Gadhafi said, "Our children have been manipulated by al Qaeda."

I'll tell you a little something now my long haired friend from other side of atlantic, Iraq loved the Brits before we went in on tag team with USA there (not saying we shouldn't have helped overethrow Sadam), the reason, Brits know how to colonise a place, we did it with strategy and tact.Originally posted by Timma View PostThat's what I figured you meant. Where the Brits colonised they typically used to indigenous Royals of that place or similar leaders to act as a buffer and point of comunication to the populus to do it in as controlled a way as possible and brought civilisation and trade points to those places and made them better.
Other eoropean contries didn't use tha same soft approach and it fucked the places they colonised for good, leaving them used to revolution after revolution after cou. Portugese, Spanish both scorched earth in south america and caused huge blood shed, same in the case of italians in libya.
