  • this guy at work...

so since i've been working at my current job, i have had a crush on this one guy. he's a bit older than me (9 years) an he's really good looking. we've been so flirtatious that even our manager and assistant manager have deemed us some sort of power couple. he has actually asked me out several times but i'm kind of weary of doing anything that might jeopardize the workplace. there are only 7 people who work at my job and we are constantly interacting with one another so there is no way i could avoid him if things go south. my question is, should i go out with him?

Always ends badly and then you're left with an uncomfortable atmosphere at work.

Never date a co worker. Sleep with them sure but nothing more.

I wouldn't do it. Work is for work, not to be mixed up with relationships. Its ok to be friends with them. If you want to date, you can find people else where.

I dated a co worker and ended up with her for 2 and half years. Don't regret anything. Although I left the job 3 months after we started seeing each other.

he really is really going hard. today he wore my favorite color (which we discussed yesterday) and he wore my favorite brand (ferragamo). i asked him why he did that and he said "to higher my chances of a date with you." wtf?! i do have to say he's pulling the right moves with me.

This is the credited response. If you do get involved, you must be prepared to leave the job. This is a fatalistic view, but the worst case scenario. It may work out fine with a white picket fences any tiny mofos running around. But MOST relationships end. And I will assume that of those that do end, MOST do not end well.
