I really enjoyed this movie.

I also read the book "Between a Rock and a Hard Place" years ago, and thought the story was pretty fucking amazing.

Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire) did a fantastic job IMO. The setting looks exactly like I pictured in my head, and I really feel like I am right there beside Aron sharing in his complete loneliness.

The "main" scene is very detailed in the book, and the movie does a great job on showing that as well.

The length of the movie is excellent, the story is told and it ends. I could picture many directors wanting to attempt to get pretty creative and artsy by prolonging the movie.

    Franco....pretty much nailed it.

Franco is the only reason I have avoided watching it. He hasn't made one decent movie that I can recall. Might have to check it out.

I thought he did a good job in Milk, but other then that...........:noo:.

I really liked him in 127 Hours, to me he captured the Aron I had envisioned while reading the book. I don't think I would put his performance as high if I hadn't read the book, so take that for what it is worth.

Pretty solid movie. Franco was good. The fact that Aaron pulled himself together and actually broke his arm and hacked it off with a dull knife makes him one of the baddest fuckers on the planet. That is pure will to live!

The way he describes breaking his arm, and also cutting through th nerve is extremely detailed in the book.

first thought that came to mind was "this is a Castaway ripoff". in all honesty i didn't enjoy it. i pretty much watched the movie in fast-forward. i could understand how the story is pretty amazing but not exactly worth the absurd $15mil spent on making it.

in the words of my father: white people are stupid. who the fuck wants to wrestle bears and go cave-diving, and all that alone? :lmao:
