    Jewelry in general shouldn't matter. Only ferromagnetic metals are going to be affected by the magnetic field, so other than implants like pacemakers or some kind of clips or pins that may have ferromagnetic metals or alloys in them would be a problem. Also, I've heard that that soldiers who may have been injured in combat and have shell fragments in them are particularly susceptible.

      people that get tattoos in jail are also at risk because sometimes the ink has lead so it's like your skin getting ripped off. when my uncle had an MRI he said the tattoo he had gotten felt like it was getting ripped off his skin and he got his tattoo done in the philippines.

        That makes no sense. Lead is used to block magnetic fields. It has no magnetic qualities.

                  first thing they ask you before you get am MRI is do you have tattoos and how old they are !!! ink has metal in it ... i got 3 rd degree burns on the back of my arm after getting an MRI not long after getting fresh ink .. the doc couldnt believe i didnt say anything while it was happening ... i wanted the MRI done so i delt with the pain
