TOKYO (AFP)--A new three meter high tsunami rolled toward the disaster-shattered northeast coast of Japan early Monday, with authorities warning it would strike within minutes.

The wave was spotted from a fire department helicopter off Fukushima prefecture, TV reports said, while public broadcaster NHK said around 11:20 a.m. (0220 GMT) that it was expected to reach the coast within 15 minutes.

The sea was seen retreating off Iwate prefecture in the northeast of Honshu island, a phenomenon that occurs before the massive waves hit.

last reported that there was smoke from the number one reactor as of 10pm central time. all reactors have the capicity to be vented via remote and all reactors have what is called a rupture disk that will release pressure at a set psi (pounds per square inch). in most cases a non nuclear reactor is good to about 350 before the the disk lets go, and while i have no idea the exact psi a nuclear reactor disk will rupture i am certain it will be close to a non nuclear reactor (a reactor is a reactor)..anyways if there is smoke which i suspect could be steam it is the last line of defence for excess pressure build up, in that event while not the worst scenario it is not good ..fingers and toes and family pets paws crossed also here in ga and hoping the sun doesnt rise in the wrong hemisphere.

Utter and complete garbage. The super moon has a barely perceptible effect on the tides. There have been several instances of a full moon at perigee even in the 20th century with no perceptible increase in weather phenomena or other geophysical activity.

people have to understand that the earths plates move. this is part of the movement.

to "predict" an earth quake and all this chaos happening in years to come is like predicting that you will be hungry if you dont eat.

earth quakes are as natural as trees. use your fucken minds people.

as far as a super moon, timmas post is the first i have heard of it. the only thing i can think of if its not complete BS is the moon's gravitational pull and power over the tides to some how play a part in all this. i would think it doubtful though.
