I don't think the radiation by itself can cause wintry weather. When we talk about nuclear winter, I think the hypothesis is that the effect of nuclear war in particular would be widespread destruction and the resultant smoke, debris, etc. in the atmosphere can block out the sun and cause cooling of the earth and consequently, cold winters. So, the effect is indirect.

Maybe... didn't read about that. You may be right. Anyway, Chernobyl had a massive explosion that released a bunch of radioactive dust into the atmosphere. That has not happened here - just some steam that has vented due to the water boiling off the core. So, unlikely to happen in this instance.

The power company guys should be herded into a room and made to watch these crisis management clips. Maybe that would motivate them to start thinking out of the box.

I put it in my own head. I do not know what their winter season is like and by the pictures I have seen recently it does not look like they are in a winter season. So I did a little thinking which some people on here don't like to do.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Postim pretty sure everyone learned about nuclear fallout in school or from tv etc..
im asking, who put the dumb ass idea in your head that snow during snow season in northern japan is instead fallout? :hibb:
You know exactly what i'm talking about then you try to go against me. Get the fuck out of here with your nonsense! :pissed:Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Posti dont know about that scrum, i seem to remember some special on Chernobyl where they were talking about how radioactive particles can mix in the atmosphere and somehow create a snow like material, ash like.
