  • I'm now a proud father!

Our daughter (Madison Faye) was born this afternoon at 2:52pm we honored her grandmother with the middle name and my father on his birthday.

The birth was actually short; 25 minutes. However the process stared over 36hrs ago and still haven't slept a wink nor will I be able to for a few more hours.

I have a final walk through for our new house at 8pm then closing tomorrow morning. My daughter is already like her mother; doing shit at the most inconvenient time, lol.

Talk to everyone in a couple days.

Congrats man! You're gonna get minimal sleep the next couple days so get used to it. I went 3 days with about 2 hours lol.

And congrats on the house too!

She is in the nursery with an unusually high white blood cell count (10 fold). I doubt I will post pictures. My personal life is just that.

It's an infection (as most of us on here would gather) but they are not sure what the infection is or what caused it. It could simply be a common infection that newborns get but no one is willing to take any risks at this point so she has to stay in the nursery and get iv antibiotics.

They redo her blood work tomorrow morning. Hopefully, the count will be down and she will come home with us.

blm when my son was born, my wife caught an infection about halfway through labor. Once my son was born they gave him antibiotics just in case so he didn't get it. We were told it's pretty common for the mother to get one or even the baby so don't get worried. The antibiotics will take care of it and she will be just fine.
