I don't think he thinks "fuck them they're not from this country." He thinks we should be helping our own that need help here, every day. It shouldn't take a catastrophe to get "noticed." You have children in your area that go hungry at night, or veterans that fight for THIS country that are suffering because they can no longer do the job they were hired for due to war, or whatever. The list goes on and on. Why do we just feel the need/desire to help when there's something "big", although other things are equally "tragic."

I agree with take care our own first but you have to look at it like paper cut vs gun shot wound. Sometimes you have to stop crying about your paper cut and go help the one with a gun shot wound. You can always come back and continue to help your own but at the moment japan has a nuclear bomb size of wound vs US's paper cut.
