Lol it actually is not that extreme. I can do all of that except catching air part of it.(I'm to old for it. :D) I'm not at my computer right now but if you type Mt biking on chumash, humming bird, suicide hill or back bone on you tube you'll see the trails I'm used to riding. :)

I have a mountian bike I just aired up the tires I'm gonna take my dog out and just take off through some spots I know. I am wondering how this will affect my leg training. I got 4-wheeler trails all through these hills in KyOriginally posted by BEAST View PostLol it actually is not that extreme. It all depends on how much you are going to ride and what kind of trails you are going to ride. What are those four wheeler trails? Is it mainly fire roads or single track? What is the elevation gain/loss? how many miles are you going to do per day or week? What is your bike brand? What kind of tire and tire pressure are you running? These are some of the questions you have to answer before I can decide if you are going to effect your workout with your Mt biking.Originally posted by dago View PostI have a mountian bike I just aired up the tires I'm gonna take my dog out and just take off through some spots I know. The trails are just straight through the woods up and down hills thats all Ky is but for the eastern part of the state. I gave 10 bucks for the bike at a yard sale I think it been rode maybe once some rich ass people. I think its a huffy? shit Idk its just a bike to me I oiled the chain it rides great. What is the tire pressure supposed to be? And probably ride 3 times a week maybe more I love being out in the woods with my dogOriginally posted by BEAST View PostIt all depends on how much you are going to ride and what kind of trails you are going to ride. Bwahahahahaha! lmao @ using the huffy, rich ass people and 10 bucks in the same sentence.:rofl:
You gonna be fine bro just ride your bike a few times around the woods with your dog, it's not gonna affect your leg workout.
Oh and put the tire pressure around 30-32 psi. It depends on the surface but if it's mostly hard packed keep it @32.

Just ride it, bro. Model doesn't matter too much if riding just for fun. I have a 20 year old Cannondale and I love it just as much today as I did when I bought it. Most guys I know who spent a fortune on a top of the line bike just have them sitting in their garage. Better to ride a cheap bike into the ground.
