  • Which watch

All of my watches are what I would call fashion watches and not for wearing with a suit (faces to large, white strap and digital). They are watches I wear when going out. So I beleive a nice watch would compliment my suit wearing. My suits are either charcoal or navy blue. I always wear black shoes.

I have settled on one of the two watches below. I don't feel like spending more than these prices ($100) as I don't know how I will like a leather strap and the size (tiny by my experiences). Which one would you guys/girls go with?

      first one by a mile.

second one looks like it belongs on a 68 year old banker.

I was leaning towards the first because I do not wear gold, which the second has. But in a conservative profession such as law, I am wondering in the second is more appropriate

I like the digital ones or the one which looks bit more fancy and good.

                      lol @ deca

Definitely the first one. Looks modern, etc. The second one looks like you're trying too hard, can't afford, etc.

If you are looking for a dress watch, only white or off-white face dial colors will do. No black faced dials. Straps match leather, i.e. belt and shoes, so you may want to get a couple of extra straps, or if the watches are not too expensive, get two with different straps.

Get one of these. Problem solved. You are just starting off - these will suffice. Get your Patek when you are fleecing Wall Street investment bankers trying to keep them out of jail...

Timex Men's Elegant Collection Watch T2M528

It is from a site in UK - Timex in the US doesn't seem to have this and I've been meaning to pick one up myself. Maybe we can get Mr. Incredible to buy a few and send it to us... :)

Strictly speaking, the leathers should match and so should the metals, i.e. the watch metal color should match your belt buckle, but that's a level of dress sense that even I rarely worry about.
