SO I was gonna get oak flooring throughout downstairs but people are saying it scratches too easy. Balterio laminate flooring is now being suggested?

    Thoughts ideas?

I have real wood down staris and a dog and new baby there are some lil scratches but nothing noticeable. My floor is also the natural wood style so its not super smooth. I think the reral smooth stuff will show more scratches. I am not a fan of laminates I ahd that a long time ago and it looked cheap. unless they have new stuff out now?

        hardwood throughout no doubt.

only reason you would go with something else is because its cheaper.

I've been told by three people that they hugely regret solid Oak flooring because it scratches so bad. Balterio aint cheap bro, hardwood is probably cheaper.

              How many roughly?

is there a particular finish, does it scratch and mark badly?

what type of wood is it

Real wood is more stressful because it does scratch, and it's expensive. I've had the plank ones, and it looked decent, but it got wet and warped. But at the same time, not so stressful because I didn't pay a ton for it.

                    casablanca collection
5in. hand scraped spanish hickory lava

its pretty hard no real scratches and the natural wood texture would make it hard to see anyways. I love mine its redish colored and everyone that comes in loves it

Thats sounds key, natural texture not too smooth, do you get splinters though?
