you gotta go granite for resale alone.
I had un-polished granite at my other house it looked pretty pimp like a rock was set on my counter tops.
I have seen but never had cement tops that looked pretty sick also

My mom did cement at her house, it is pretty damn cool. I think they are now 10+ years old and still look brand new.
