I'm new to the home entertainment system world....LOL I like that powerbar by bose. It's just the bar and a wireless subwoofer. It sounded awesome at the store.
What do you guys use for your picture settings? Do you use those dvds to help set the picture settings?
Scrumhalf, what are your settings at?

damn bro that has got to be the best post everOriginally posted by Scrumhalf View PostDude, will you quit it with the elitist house bullshit? Some of us live in condos because we want to. I can write a personal check from my checking account and buy your house outright today if I wanted to. The way you carry on, it's like you are the only one here who can afford a house and the rest of us live in cardboard boxes ... Lol...
"I can write a personal check from my checking account and buy your house out right today"
question though who the hell rights checks these days, lol

2.1 is exactly what I want right now. Nice to hear you are enjoying yours.

:clapback:
Unless you are watching a good movie, you are typically only using 2.1 anyhow.

A setup disc does wonders for your picture quality. I gr the Disney World of Wonder disc. You can get it off Amazon. That's a pretty cost effective way to kick the picture quality up a notch. You can also pay a professional to come out with their equipment and set your TV up just right. The guys on the HT forums swear by it but unless you are a hardcore movie freak, it is probably overkill.Originally posted by FrankTheTank55 View PostI'm new to the home entertainment system world....LOL I like that powerbar by bose. I'll get the disc! I'm always trying different settings. The clarity of the picture is amazing! I just would like it to be a little more vibrant.Originally posted by Scrumhalf View PostA setup disc does wonders for your picture quality. I gr the Disney World of Wonder disc. The fine tuning capabilities of the sharp are overwhelming. Unless you do a lot of homework or have a good knowledge of what each option does you will most likely end up having to reset to default over and over again because when you change one advanced setting it nullifies another. It's so time consuming. Calibration discs are a must, imo. In the end it's the best place to start. Then you can do little tweaks from that saved reference point.Originally posted by Scrumhalf
