What kind of stuff do you like to read? I haven't read fiction in a while. Last fiction I read was about 8 months ago- American Gods by Gaiman. That should tell you how caught up I am on contemporary fiction. Lol...

i've been reading Sudhir Venkatesh's works. non-fiction books about the urban lifestyle. i'm currently ready Off the Books which is about the underground economy. i finished up Gang Leader for a Day a couple weeks ago. as for fiction, Jeff Lindsays work (Dexter series) is always a good read. Angela's Ashes was amazing, i haven't read the second part ('Tis). Chuck Palahniuk is always a good choice too.

I like to read fiction because I'm usually reading for relaxation, help me sleep, etc. I'm currently reading Pillars of the Earth. Someone actually just suggested American Gods, but it really doesn't look like something I'd enjoy. What did you think of it?

Ahh, I forgot about the Dexter series. I'd probably like those. I'll look into the others, thanks.

I've been hearing good things about I Know This Much is True by Wally Lamb. Has anyone read that?

Someone else suggested The 4 Hour Body. It looks a little ridiculous.

It is fantastic. I really liked it. It is of course fantasy like other stuff that Neil Gaiman has written, but it is such a novel idea that I read most of it on a 14 hour trans-Pacific and couldn't put it down.
