Here in NYC it was on our local news this week run by Fox, that mayor Bloomberg and his council are asking home land security to start heavilly tracking all electronic, western union, money gram funds, etc. sent over to China, especially that is being used for commercial and industrial purposes.
This is due to a mad rush of fake-id's comming in from China that are being acquired through money transfers.
This is big biz now, its no longer kids just trying to by beer. Illegal immigrants buy them for things from as innocent as steeling American jobs, to people using them to commit terrorist acts, as well as commiting crimes of all other sorts.
Fake ID's have always been a big underground means of cash flow. However, it has grown exponentially.
The city has a big eye on this for obvious reasons.
This is one more way for the city to put a check on all terrorist activities.
That means all packs comming and going from China are being watched because they really can not discriminate well intended, legal money transfers and packages from the illicit one for many reasons.
In other words, especially if living in the tri-state area, I would be extremely weary as to where I am sending my money to.
