well for people that text a lot like myself, then its worth it. People that text less than 100 texts a month, than yea, maybe pay per use is better and cheaper for them.

you could send a million god damn texts a month and it would still not even be close to an average 30 second youtube clip in terms of the amount of data.

try to follow me here. you may think its a good deal "for people who text a lot" but you are paying $20 a month for something that costs at most $2 a month.

The unlimited plans are unchanged. The limited plans are being taken away. Less choice. How exactly is this better for the consumer?

This is only going to get worse if/when AT&T gets control over T-Mobile.

Picking a cell plan is becoming like voting ; you have to pick the lesser of the evils yet in the end they are all crooks that want to take your money.

i recently "upgraded" my text plan to the $30/month (family plan) because it's unlimited texts and unlimited calls to cell phones. before the switchover i was paying $30/month for texting alone.

you do make a valid point. but the way cell phone companies validate charging so much is that not only are you using the product (data) but you're using their service of sending and receiving data (their network). either way it's priced way too high.
