yea there is a program you can download file manager or some shit. i put all kinds of torrents, even watched my formula 1 race on the plain when we were flying last year. it would be even better with android but if you read those instructions it looks fucken complicated.

                  • I'm pretty happy with myself. My touchpad has been sitting collecting dust for the past 2 years. I was bored last night and decided to try my hand at putting the latest android OS on it. Took me a bit of time figuring all the shit out but for the first time this piece of shit is actually a very nice usable pad. Everything works perfectly and its actually speedier and more optimzed with android than it ever was with hp software. hd videos now play without skipping! something kinda pleasing about taking something that was basically trash and making it usable again!

                      Nice.

Good to see that it got a second chance.

Looks nice. Feels good to give an old electronic a new life. I wanted the touchpad just to tinker around with.

                          • Mine completely stopped working. Won't power on or anything. Basically a waste of $99 from the start, lol.

I'd have it fixed and usable in an hour. Just needs a hard reboot. If volume up button and power button trick I sent you doesn't work it can be brought back to life via usb.

That said, I completely understand if you don't care enough to go through all that mess. After all I let mine sit for years myself.

                              • Pretty cool feature I never realized you could do..

If you long press on a youtube video you have the option to download it to the pad. This will come in handy on an airplane or wherever Internet connection may be spotty. I watch a lot of full documentaries on youtube so it's a pretty useful feature for me. Youtube videos are usually compressed pretty well so even an hour long documentary only takes 3-4 minutes to download.
