  • 1st time in 9 years

Decided to step it up a notch this am and went for a 4 mile run after my smoke session... 37:51.. not too bad for an old fucker. 1st time running that distance after retiring out of the Army. That steady breeze from that bitch Irene made for a bit of a challange...

Haha, that would be awesome. Lipripper has actually served though, I'm just a poseur.

Scrum I'll get it down, this week I did a 3, 2, mile run, 4mile walk, 3 then this am 4 for a run. that was my cardio after a smoke session each morning this week. Then M W F weights in the afternoon after work. Slowly getting there, I hope to get some more BF down soon and start concentrating on lifting and start to add weight back...but good weight. I would like to add about 12 to 15 lbs back on in a year with out putting fat back on... time will tell. Down to a 36 1/4 in waist now ( from a 42 if I remember right)... like to get to a 35...

Just be careful.. running fast is hard on the knees, not to mention shin splits. The joints ain't the same in the forties as in the twenties.

Shoot bro, I was running s.. l.. o.. w .. I took it easy as it was the first time past 3 miles for me. been hitting 3 miles in about 24:30 for an average or so, but every day is different. About the time I hit 3 miles I'm getting into the runners "zone" again... feel like I could have done 5 or 6 miles easy this am. Feels good to be getting back right again after being a piece of crap for so long.
