Do you let the computer go to sleep or stand by mode? Unlike other programs for some reason iPhone os stops downloading if the computer goes to sleep.

Nope, I've made sure to try both ways. Still nothing.

took 7 hours to upload update on someone i know phone ... going to grab update tonight

Not anymore. Now I'm using regular Brighthouse (equivalent to Comcast) type.
