it was set to fill the width of a page before right to the edge. i set it to fill 95% instead of 100% because on bigger screens it looks a bit odd fully stretched. this way it centers the page a bit.

have to understand that on different screens, different browsers, different devices, what works great for one doesnt work so well on another. this is the best way to reach a common ground and make it work for everyone.
