What do you guys think about tattoo's?

When I was younger I always wanted a sleeve done and still do but competing is something I want to do, not now but in a couple of years and I dont want to be at a disadvantage because one arm you cant see any definition etc.

Should I forget about and it focus on competitions or just get it and not worry?

Any of the competitors on the board have an opionion?

I have half sleeves. Spend your money on gear instead.

Tats will never help in bodybuilding. If you are good enough they won't keep you down to much but they are not a plus either.

Personally, I think tats are played the fuck out. Every wannabe tough guy queer has tats. To me it's like putting UFC stickers on your car. "look everyone, I am a tough guy" fuck outta here.

I kinda do agree with that also 20+ years ago when I did mine well most of them, no one had them unless you got them from prison. now people on the streets copy prison tatts just to lok cool.

my tats dont bother me but I wish I had none most of the time.

Same here. Mine were cool 15 years ago when I had them done. Now every kid has them.

I regret the half sleeve and other half dozen tattoos I have. They are too permanent and yeah it washes out my arm when I compete. I never wear tanks always baggy T's, and would prefer to wear sweatshirts to try covering them up.

A good rule of thumb, if you want a tattoo wait a year. If you still want the same tattoo a year later then go for it.

I think the reason I dislike them most cause like other guys on here say, we just moved to a rich white middle class neighborhood with a gym full of white punk early 20's "tough guys" all tatted up with full sleeves on toothpicks.

Tats for body builders I think is the wrong way to go IMHO...

Now me not being the body builder,,,LOL.. I have 3 tats myself all in relation to what I love.... my kids hunting and fishing with out those 3 things..I am nothing it is me. I have a buck deer on right bicep with
( lil dude) under it..my sons nick name. On my left bicep I have a fawn deer laying in a bed of flowers with ( Goo Goos) under it.. my daughters nick name. #3 is on my back about a 3/4 back piece 13 frigging hours, of a Kingfish cutting thru a school of blue runners with one chomped in half and a blood cloud around it... mine..I love kingfishing.. But all 3 are covered with a normal T shirt, so I can be conservitive anywhere I go. Most folks who have known me for years still dont know about my back piece.

get them and don't worry about it ... tats are a part of bodybuilding as many today have them ..

the tanning shit you put on before stage time covers them very well and you can still see definition .. i am slowly working on sleeves now and eventually will be covered with ink ..one side of me good the other side not so my ink represents that !!! both sides of me work hand and hand to drive my everyday life

life is too short ... don't wait till tomorrow cause that's not guaranteed !!! so if you want something go get it
