Once you leave LA east texas has some of the same terrain... then as you go a few hours west it all changes.. This is why its considered western not southern, East TX is where the transformation takes place guys... Ar, LA Miss, TN all southern..once ya cross over it all changes, the people, attitude and general ' lifestyle goes western" of the people are different compared to the folks in the "south" which is generally the SE in the U.S.
