Glock hater? then YES I am.

I had the very first one when they first came out couldnt hit the side of a barn with it. Barteta 92 now is a diffenet story I could hit a fly and 50 yrds. (stupid me sold it)
I now have HK and a desert eagle but that is more just fun at the range.

Actually just started looking at the Wilson Combat TE might get one of then these days?

How do you like th H&K? I was looking at a used pistola (not sure the caliber) made by H&K light usage for less than half its retail.

There is not a HK i dont like but I will say with all honesty the barrteta 92 was the best shooting gun to me at least. I have shot semi custom 1911s and no real difference so my shooting is suspect, lol

Im with rocket for a good one the baretta 92 is a shooter. But I dont own one.

The reason I went with the XD over a glock is I dont like the fact that a Glock really has no safetys built into the gun. The XD has great safety features and its big enough to fit my hands properly. It is an ear ringer though... in the .45 lol

Mine has a safety....I just keep my finger off the trigger until I am ready to fire. Works extremely well.

Mechanical safeties can and will fail, people put to much trust in a safety.

I AGREE ANY MECHANICAL DEVICE CAN FAIL...BUT 99% OF THE TIME THEY WONT. the reason I dont like the glock is exactly what you said..the trigger pulls boom...if a chapstick got into the trigger well in the purse and hit the trigger..BOOM... not gonna happen with the thumb safety on and the grip safety on an xd...

Muzzle control and trigger control are always the primary safety....its the unknow situations when a mechanical safety is a good thing

I agree. I sold my XDm, didn't love it as much as the Glocks. I also live close to Glock HQ, and you can take a gun and have all the internals replaced for FREE.

However I only carry a gun in a holster, so it would be difficult for any object to inadvertently pull the trigger.

I like most handguns aside from hi-point, and I hope to have an HK/Sig/Beretta in my collection one day.
