  • Sherlock on BBC

i'm not talking about the movie but the series done on BBCOne. It's a pretty amazing show. if you haven't heard of it, download the first "episode". i put that in quotes because it's a miniseries where each installment (there were 3 in season 1 and the first in season 2 just aired recently) is 70-90 minutes long. it's very reminiscent of Dexter.

on a related note, british TV is better than most American TV these days. :disagree:

Sherlock is classic british, good call, brit tv is nowhere near as good as it used to be but done stuff is good, planet earth with david attenborough is my favourite

Pretty sure its all on Netflix instant.

Wasn't happy with the modern slant at first but it grows on you.

After Jeremy Brett set the standard for Sherlock Holmes, everything else seems like an obscenity by comparison. Some things were not meant to be messed with. Might as well vandalize Conan Doyle's grave while we are at it.

Perhaps, but I think (and I am unanimous in this :)), Jeremy Brett's portrayal is the high water mark. He beat Basil Rathbone's Sherlock every which way.
