  • Best Buy help

Have some gift cards and want to spend.

    Things on my mind:
    1.Wii
    2.Router and external hard drive
3.Move for the ps3 (don't know anything about it)
4.Flip like camera and some blu rays(miss my flips but a phone is always with me)
5.save and use for a larger purchase..TV or laptop
    6.save for a phone upgrade
    7.kindle

    In no particular order.

PS.----I don't care for 3d tech, I don't like the glasses and it triggers headaches, but DAMN looking at Avatar on a new, big 3d tv was impressive. Almost worth the price of admission to just watch that once at home.

Nintendo is working on a replacement for the Wii right now. its sales have dropped off and the good games even for kids coming out for it have declined. not a smart buy bro, Wii is on its death bed.

playstation move is shit. not a good buy.

kindle will be more expensive at bestbuy then buying direct from amazon, (sales tax)

get a router if you need it, i have the Cisco E 3000, works great for multiple devices, never an issue. (N Dual Band is the important thing)

lol @ buying blu-rays. you can download any 1080p blu-ray rip with DTS HD sound that you want for free.

lol @ buying a camera with what all the new phones can do.

never make a large purchase from bestbuy. will be much more expensive and you will pay tons in tax. use bestbuy to test out which tv you want and then order it online from somewhere like Vanns or Crutchfield. Lower base price, free shipping, no tax.

bottom line. use the gift card for the smaller items. router and external hard drive.

You probably wouldn't get a lot out of the Wii. The Flip cameras are probably going to be more expensive at BB, too. I've seen them on Amazon multiple times for much lower prices. (I follow a forum that includes an Amazon thread) The Kindle would cost the same, you'd just have to pay tax. That's not too bad, considering you have gift cards. You also might be able to get a good laptop sale if you're willing to wait and keep up with the sale ads.

I'm not a BB fan. I have a $50 card and I think I'm just going to use it for iTunes.

That is the thing, every item is cheaper online. I can just sell the GC, but I wanted a new toy.

We were going to get a webcam to spy on the dog, but it was $20 at BB and $7 on Amazon.

The wii would be fun for a week, then we would be done. I only play the ps3 about 3-4 hours per week.

I might be in classes this fall (fingers crossed), so I may need a laptop before August.

My router is functional, but it is due for an upgrade. I have an external HDD, but need multiple back ups. (Both items cheaper on amazon)

Maybe sell GC and buy items on Amazon.

just use the card on cheaper items where you wont really feel the the price increase. big items (multiple hundreds of dollars never go with best buy.

True. The laptop selection last night was pretty bad, with all being cheaper online unless I went with Apple.

            Dunno. Important decisions.

I want one, but I use the app on my iPad and phone. I know the E ink is totally different, and I like having the option of reading outside. I just don't know if I would use it much.

Send your gift cards to me and go pay cash for everything. And if you buy everything on line you'll save money.

If you gonna get the wii get the Xbox kinect. I watched my daughter and her friends play it and it is truly amazing. I think they have a good selection of family games.

No Mario and I would also need an Xbox for that.

Buy something and return it for cash. Then buy whatever you want from wherever you choose.
