  • vet put my pooch on roids

So took my dog to the vet again 3rd time this year she been on all kinds of antibiotics and creams to put in her ears none of it worked for long. So went to a different vet they run some tests on her and says she needs steriods gave her prednisone mostly for anti-inflammatory and some other stuff that was over my head. Doc told me she would drink more water and urinate more so she doing time in the kitchen blocked off from the rest of the house incase of an accident when im not home. Also told me about side effects of the long ester of the shot so i asked if they had the same in orals with a shorter ester so i could stop treatment if i needed and they did so i asked for that. Idk why the vet didn't think of tha. Anyways dog is already bloated and drinking 3xs as normal but her symptoms literally went away within 3 days. She gotta stay on for about 3 more weeks but can tell she is already feelig way better.

Difference between steroids and anabolic steroids bro. The kind of steroids she is on has no benefit for muscle building etc...

Not sure if you knew that or not but the title kinda seems like you are implying she is on some test and dbol. Lol

What Bouncer said. Doctors prescribe corticosteroids for inflammations and allergies, not anabolic steroids. The term steroid just refers to the basic chemical ring structure of the organic molecule that all these kinds of chemicals share.

By the way, my younger son has asthma and he has to take this steroidal anti-inflammatory medication every day.
