Chicago is the only city in the country that can go toe to toe with New York in every department - performing arts, museums, food, culture... probably still Second City, but not by a very large margin.

I'd put San Fran up there for a lot of those, especially the food and some of the arts. Love that city, despite the jokes I'm opening myself up for there.
