I was in the Army for four years and would have laid down my life for my country (I was young and naive then). I sure as hell wouldn't want to lay down my life for a bunch of people who dance and celebrate everytime an American gets killed! If we round up 10 terrorists for every American killed and kill them in a public execution we will either run out of terrorists or they will stop their terrorism.

In all honesty its a fight we cant win, we as a people value life, in the same manner the value death...we all know that, but I dont think we realize how severe this is

I think the reason ehy our troops dont back or get outof there is because the gov dont want us to look like cowardsor waek or something. But forour troops safty its best to get out and think of a better war plan.

this war can not be won with violence. the terrorists attacked us because we brought our forces into their land that they hold sacred. if you look at these people's lives, the only thing they have to hold on to is their land. but after their attack on the WTC then we made the mistake of sending thousands of troops over there and pissing them off even more. for every terrorist that we arrest or kill then at least two more are there to take his place. we are inciting more terrorist attacks by our own actions. Pres. Bush brought this war to every americans doorstep when he sent our troops there. Bin Laden could have been killed by sending a small amount of Special Forces or CIA agents to kill him and he wouldn't have thought that he was being hunted. and as for Iraq, Bush fooled the nation into thinking that he was a threat. He lied to everyone about the weapons of mass destruction and about saddam supporting terrorists. what he really wanted to do was to finish what his father started. and of course, gain a little more control over the worlds oil supply. first it was afghanistan, then iraq. let me ask you, what country sits conveniently right between those two countries? Iran. so now we have a military front on both sides of Iran and can attack at any moment. i'm not saying this will happen but the Iranian government is feeling the pressure. they will most likely negotiate if bush decides that to be his next move. they have been trying to build an oil pipeline in afghanistan for over 20 years. so that we can pump oil out of those countries and supply the rest of the world, but the taliban refused to let anyone build the pipeline. in my opinion, the biggest terrorist is George W Bush. and he is the biggest threat to our own country. it's time to get him out of office and elect General Clark. he's a military man and he holds a lot of respect with the other nations in NATO. he would have the most knowledge on how to put an end to this war and provide an exit strategy.

and if anyone here thinks that i don't have a right to say what i have just said. I have done 5 years in the Army and I am a Disabled Veteran. and i currently work on an Army Installation. Not to mention the fact that my mother is currently serving in Iraq at this time. I see on a daily basis how this war is affecting our troops and my own family. as you can tell, this issue is pissing me off as well.

I think that a war was not really the best approach for the middle east. Seeing that a certain person is assassinated may be a better approach in my opinion.

The people in the middle east have been fighting for hundreds of years, what makes anyone think they are going to just stop now?
I personally don't think the fighting will stop until everyone is dead thats associated with the fighting in that region.
