  • Hey Beast, LA question

Hey Beast, thinking of paying a visit to LA for Spring Break. My younger son who has his mind made up to be a paleontologist, wants to visit the La Brea Tar Pits, and of course we'll visit Universal Studios and Disneyland. I might add a trip to Valencia to Six Flags, but that may be overkill with all the other stuff.

Any other kid-friendly activities we should add?

How long will you guys be staying? From top of my head, if you guys like cars you can walk from tar pits to peterson car museum. I'd do Santa Monica pier and rent bikes or walk to Venice beach board walk it's a must see. You could add Hollywood to the mix, do the walk of fame, wax museum, see the Guinness book of records museum and the ripley's believe it or not museum.
By the way I live 5 miles from universal and 25 minutes from magic mountain. :D

Yeah, i was thinking of the car museum. Thanks for the info on the Santa Monica pier and the Venice boardwalk. Is the Queen Mary museum any good in Long Beach? We'll probably stay for a week.

BTW, is Knotts Berry Farm any good? We've seen Disneyland already, not sure if I want to go there again (but my kids may decide otherwise :hmm:).

Where are you planing to stay? Queen mary is good along with the long beach aquarium but depending on your hotel location it might be to far of a drive.
I haven't been to knotts in years so I can't help you much with that sorry but it is minutes away from Disneyland.

Yea because death valley isn't amazing and it doesn't have anything at all to do with what his son is interested in.
