  • Spend money in a grill or go cheap?

So I am going to be buying a grill as soon as soon as we get out to Chicago. As you guys know there is a ton of expenses in moving so I would rather not spend a ton on a grill. I don't need a crazy big grill, just a normal one. I saw webber grills for around $600 and some off brand for $199 for the same size grill. I know the $199 won't last as long but I don't really care about the thing not last 10 years. If $199 last me a couple summers I am fine with that.

    Thoughts?

yep... get ya a flat smoker. Couple hundred bucks.. you can grill with charcoal and or use it to smoke food as well. best of both worlds and will last a while. The one I got is like 6 years old and still going strong. think I paid less then 200 for it bro... Stays outside built like a tank....

this is not the one I have but ya can get the idea....

box on the side is if ya wanna use it as a smoker, if you just wanna grill you can put coal under where ya cook.... so you can cook either way if ya want. you can also grill using the smoker box if ya like.

      1. Aren't you moving for your or your wifes work? In most cases companies should give you money to relocate. Might only be 5-10k and I'm sure you were already aware, but that seems like a big move to be paying all the expenses yourself.

2 your question; I spent upwards of $600 6 years ago on an off brand stainless steel grille. It has 4-5 burners, and an upper rack to keep things warm, slow cook, etc.

The grille is yours if you want it. Although you would have to pay for shipping from CA which would probably cost more than buying a new cheaper one. Turf Wars asked me if I was partial to the grille or if they could get rid of it so I'm assuming it won't look right with the new landscaping. If interested lmk and I'll post a couple pics.

Mainly just cooking for you and Sana, then I would get Sears: Online department store featuring appliances, tools, fitness equipment and more

Go gas if you plan on using it 4+ times a week, unless you don't mind the wait with charcoal.

I laughing my ass off (inside) simply because you talk so much shit about people opinions and choices no matter how justified. Yet, now the man that said "go webber or go home " is considering a cheaper substitute because he has a tighter budget from moving. Welcome to the real world you fucking faggot. Lol.

Jokes aside, as I said before in the aforementioned post; I bought a $300 grill from lowes that lasted me 6 years with nearly year round use.

Top of line products are always preferred no matter what you're buying but they're not always feasible or justified.

Spend a little more and go Weber...I went top-shelf Weber almost five years ago and it still looks/works like brand-new.

I don't get you; you're planning to reno the kitchen and the back patio at your new house so it looks good, but you're content to put a ghetto grill in the backyard? :wack:

Or pick one of these. I'm sure any one of them would work just fine.
