I have always heard good things. I like that now you can add a pillow top. I hope to have one in 5 or so years.

Bought my wife a temperpedic pillow a few years ago, I want to steal it all the time.

The also do some insane free trial, 30 or 60 nights. Pretty nice.

Did you notice the smell? Did it dissipate fairly quickly?

I have one and i will never buy another kind of mattress. A few years back I got a costco brand but it lost it's shape after three years so I figured I'd get something else so I spend $2k and got a sleep number bed and what a piece of shit that bed was. It's a good idea but it never worked right. Bed has an infinite air adjustment but if you set it up for back sleep you cant be on your side or stomach. If you set it up for stomach sleep it sucked for the side or back sleep. Needles to say me and my fiance hated the fucking thing and got rid of it after about six month. (lost ton of money on it) went back to costco bought another one of their memory foam mattress but this time with in four months fucking started to get all weird and lumpy took it back and said" fuck this!" and went and bought a real tempurpedic mattress around last august and I'm telling you there is nothing like it. As soon as I lay on it I fall of sleep and wake refreshed ache and pain free. On the sleep number mattress every time I woke up felt like someone beat me up with a baseball bat in my sleep.

So I highly recommend the tempurpedic. :thumup:

My wife notices the smell. She said she noticed a smell last night. My wife is half my weight and she has not been comfortable in the tempurpedic yet. Apparently the lighter you weigh the less comfortable the tempur is...only for 2-4 weeks.

5k on a bed is a no brainer for something you spend 1/3-1/4 of your life on. Over 20 years it is like 10 cents/night for an AMAZING nights sleep. Even if it lasts 10 years i'm happy.

My arms would always fall asleep if on my side on the old standard pillow top mattress. Now I can sleep on my side/back/stomach all with no trouble. Most comfortable bed I have ever slept on.

I was gonna get tempur bed but people told me they hold in heat and make you hot. I am already a fucking furnace. I have a tempur pillow and it even has the "cool" cover thing still gets hot I would never sleep in a bed like that i wouldnt sleep.

On that note i am opposite as beast I love the sleep number. took awhile to find my "number" but after I did all good.

yup thats why I got sleep number. Matresses would only last me a 6 months or so and then I would have a big hole where I sleep all saggy. yes i bought the best matress 2 times from different places both places same thing. 1 place gave me free exchange other i said fuck it and bought sleep number

I just leave it on 90 witch is solid I dont sink into it and sleep is good.

yup try the sleep number and put it around 90 I have had this for close to 3 years now and still solid no holes. every now and then i have to re-check the number make sure its on 90. either lil kid grabs it thinking she can turn the channel with it or air just goes out. I check it 1 time per month probably.

I have bad neck problems. My cervical spine has no natural curve, it's pencil straight. If I could find a mattress or a pillow that could get me through the night, I'd pay whatever.
