Getting a new smartphone - HTC One X

Thanks, I'll look into it. One thing I like my Tomtom is for driving to Canada. I don't have to pay any data roaming charges. But I hear you, the Tomtom is definitely big and clunky compared to the phone.

Do either of you (B or Scrum) use the car mode feature? Do you know if it transmits audio over BT?

I am in the car a lot, so I may get the One x and the car dock with the savings over the SGIII.

Ahaha.. stock browser didn't bother me much but I'm always willing to try new things! I do have K-9 mail, Google Play, etc.

bro i cant stress this enough, none of the stock htc aps are worth 2 fucks accept the weather app that you see there. email, browser, music, sync, should all be replaced with the google alternatives.

Yeah I keep leaning towards the One X. I like HTC, yet they have made some shit in the past. The motion controls on SG are cool, but I doubt I will use them much. Would be nice to save $100. Does that camera sticking out every bother you in the pocket?

nah never bothers me. it doesn't scratch when lay it on table either. the metal around the glass of the camera is slightly elevated over it so the phone doesn't rest directly on the lens.

thats what i was talking about the other day. the g3 seems old in terms of its style. the way the one x is designed you get all screen and almost nothing else.

plus my home screen is the coolest. :thumup:

Spent a few minutes Yesterday playing with the One X and the SG III. I can't decide which one to get. The One X is a great value for $99, yet the GIII has the "new" factor. The One X does feel a little more premium in my hand, don't really like the camera protrusion (but wouldn't be a deciding factor).

The GIII screen is only .1 inch larger, yet the phone looks and seems a lot bigger. Can't decide if that is a plus or minus. I like the removable battery and ability to add storage to the GIII, but I really don't need either one of those features if I am truly being honest. I can't change batt or add microSD on current phone, and couldn't on all of my iphones.

First world problems right here, poor me can't decide on which cell phone to buy.

Sense vs touchwiz:conflicted here, I have had both an HTC and Samsung phone and can't decide with one I like better.
Color:love the GIII blue, hate the one x white (the black is fine)
Battery life:most likely the same depending on usage

Like the beats audio addition on one x, and also like some of the motion controls built in to the GIII. Websites are conflicted on camera, some say X is better, some say GIII. I think either phone will take great pictures.

Ability to sync to my mac: GIII don't think so, One X unsure
