I was basing my statement on personal friends photos but a quick search shows some nice shots via iphone.

My cousin is a photographer in PA and some of his random shots that he captures from his phone are stunning and hard to believe that they are taking with a phone camera.

Not trying to bad mouth Beast, but his pics are basic point and shoot results from a good dslr camera. I have a good Canon that I can't utilize a fraction of it's capabilities but even on auto I occassionally pull off some pretty killer pics. However, my cousin that I referred to crushes my digi cam pics with most of his phone cam pics. It's all about having an eye and the ability to use your equipment.

90% of photography is having an eye for light, color and framing the right scene and angle. People have been taking fabulous pictures of a hundred years, back when the cameras were essentially pinhole cameras.

Anybody who doesn't like my shots can suck my balls. :nutkick:
I never claimed to be a pro. Right from the get go I said this is my new hobby and I post what I think is cool. Scrum I'll post the settings for you later but these were taken with ISO set between 800-3200.

Beast, are you shooting in auto or shutter or aperture priority mode? Is that a photo of your neighborhood?

                            Thanks guys. :D
Scrum I took them all in manual mode. I kept playin with the shutter speed and for the time of the day (early morning) 1/160 worked pretty good.

Sweet, nice! Manual is great... I don't have the skill to do manual, usually just shoot in one of the other semi-auto modes. Great that you are experimenting, you'll get really good in no time.

Nice neighborhood bro.. definitely is not consistent with the LA stereotype.
