  • Texas folk, need ur input

After Im done with Miami, Im thinking about breaking off, and seetting shit up along the gulf of mexico...galveston area most likely

If I introduced authentic NY italian food there, think it would take off, or is the olive garden good enough for ya?

Im just thinking of getting back with the ex, and she wants to finish school before I move her on out, so that means I'll be there for the next 3-4 yrs or better

I wish someone would set up a good pizza shop here in Tampa. I'm fucking tired of corporate franchise mass production pizza (so called).

Yes lots of seafood. I've only been down there a couple of times. But I do remeber mostly seafood/cajun style and tex mex there. So I would definitly consider it an option.

I live in Houston and go to Galveston often. All we have here are Mexican Restraunts, and in Galveston there are seafood places. We could use a good Italian place.

But, Galveston is a slum, its old and run down, you would have to depend on tourist for the most part. The crime is pretty bad also.

If you do pizza right, you'll have a lot of success no matter where you go. It's so damn hard to find good pizza, it's ridiculous. There is a Greek-owned family restaurant in my hometown (pop. 20,000) that makes the best I've ever had. All the years living in Ottawa, I wasn't able to find pie that came close. And having travelled a lot, I've yet to come across a pizza that can match it. Of course, not many places make their own sauce, use REAL thick-cut bacon, or make crust so good that you NEVER waste even a single bite of it. The place doesn't seat that many, but they make a killing on take-out/delivery. Do pizza extremely well, and the word-of-mouth advertising will keep you as busy as your oven volume will allow most nights.
