  • Concrete Staining, need some tips.

Closing soon on a townhouse. I want to rip out the carpet and linoleum downstairs and have the concrete stained.

I am excited to be a property owner, but I have zero handyman skills. Had a couple of questions about this process.

Does the baseboard need to be removed?

Anyone have stained concrete, likes/dislikes? A couple of old friends had it, but I never really inquired much about it.

    Any tips are appreciated.

H&C Concrete Stain then top coat of sealer until you get the level of shine you want.

Baseboard will need to come up for sure.

      Good luck.

A cream color shag rug would look great, but my hairy ass dog would be all over it. I would have to convince him hat his bed/palette is more comfy then my rug.

You will want the concrete cleaned very well first. Is the concrete in generally good shape?

                        Don't know.

Should be closing in two week and then I can rip up carpet an check it out. It was built in 2008 and never been lived in, I would assume it is in good shape.

I have found a guy that does staining on commercial jobs, he has access to all the tools needed for prepping.

                              Thanks.

That stamping is amazing but I doubt it fits in with our budget.

Should close next week and I have a couple guys coming out for quotes, if it isn't too much more then I would love the stamping.
