^ Wow that changes everything. I take everything back. The royal family is an overachieving lot and the Queen is an stateswoman par excellence. Charles does not believe in every quack medical idea ever conceived, and the rest of the house of Windsor are full of intellectual heavyweights who have made epic contributions to Britain and to humankind.

lol well what is cool is that its really a celebration of Britishness, the royals are only part of that.

So often as a country we overly extend our eagerness to accept other cultures often seemingly for little thanks, they all celebrate theirs in our face and at times its feels awkward to fly the english flag for fear of being perceived racist we've become so lilly livered and politically correct we're afraid of our own shadow.

Jubilee is about something we as brits do that many other countries don't, it may not be to everyone's taste but its is one small aspect of Great Britain and its epic history.

Personally all things said and done I'm proud to be British and if anyone 'in GB' don't like it their free to move elsewhere.

They actually laugh at themselves now!

They're privileged and born with a silver spoon and all but everytime you see them appear its to do good, charities, supporting military, sports etc. They are honest and grounded now as they're unable to act elitest after everything they have been seen to publicly go through.

The cost of them is relatively small in comparison to what the politicians squander and they are independent of the shitty political parties do anything they say is generally unbiased.
