fuck it was rough as shit. weather man lied. 3.5 to 4 ft STACKED at about 3 to 4 seconds. Took an ass beating today. About 20 miles out on the way home we got some air off the back of a nice 4 footer and came down hard on the left side of the transom. ripped the trip tab right off the stern... FUCK!!!:agreed:

My bro was holding me by the ankles as I was trying to unscrew the tab off the acuatuer so I wouldnt loose that as well. I got some repairs to make, and a part to order but she'll be good as new real soon. It took me 9 years.. but I finally broke the boat:rofl:

we wound up catching 6 Cobia( kept 4) and one King. Lost 2 cobia and two kings. The boys had a cooler full of steaks to take back to Charleston with them.:thumup:

Dude..after an ass beating like we took, its hard to sleep. keep waking up every couple hours. piss..re hydrate theyn try to go back to sleep. We ran 91 miles on the water yesterday and it was shitty the whole time. After we blew out the trim tab, I couldnt get the bow down into the seas enough to let the motors just eat and run, I had to constantly work the throttles and zig zag a course trying to take some of the sting out of it. Buy zig zagging diretions every few miles I could get a quarteing to sea on the beam and run a bit better( instead of straight into it). But had to run about 20 deg off course (each way) to do it. Gotta love fishing!:thumup:

Good to hear bro... And keep life vests handy. People die here every summer in the Pacific Northwest because they are not prepared when on the water. The water is COLD all year and sucks the energy out of you faster than you think and a quiet afternoon on the river turns into tragedy. Probably a bit better down south where you are, but still the sea does not suffer fools gladly.
