Where Would You Guys Live and Why

San Diego for the win. Perfect temp all year long. I'm always looking at real estate in and around that area. Wouldn't move until I’m older but would definitely love to live there someday.

Yea beast, those beaches are beautiful in there own right bro. Cali is a beautiful state no doubt.

But I am more talking about this type of beach. The type you get in Miami Beach and surrounding beaches. White sands, clear light blue water. This is what I look for in a beach.

That said, If i were to pick a place in cali to live it would probably be Santa Barbara/Montecito area

I like 70 degree weather. That's a perfect temp for me.

No, I don't like humid. If I'm on the beach in the water, I do like it to be hot because I don't like to come out of the water and deal with 70 degrees because that's cold when you're wet.

Take a visit to the top couple places that you're interested in. I prefer humidity over dry heat, but probably because that's what I'm used to. Same with 70 degree weather, I'd be freezing!

at first dry heat is more pleasant to be in. BUT after a couple days your skin looks like snake skin, lips are cracked to hell, eyes hurt etc..

There's humidity and there's HUMIDITY, the kinda stuff you have in the Midwest and East Coast. After spending years in Illinois, I don't miss it at all. And low humidity out West is not exactly desiccating humidity. We are not talking Death Valley here.

I agree on the water temperature thing, but to me, California is the perfect combination of weather, low rainfall, lifestyle, attitude, etc. I think it is also personal... I am a Western guy now, like the laid back lifestyle and there's something about California, a je ne sais quoi, that's not replicated anywhere, much as it pains me as an Oregonian to admit it. :)

My wife and I are in a unique situation right now. We both work remotely via the Internet and we can basically live wherever we want to live (in the US not HI or Alaska due to product shipping issues). We are currently in Arizona, Scottsdale and ready to move somewhere else. Will probably be moving in September, just need to choose a place. Where would you guys go if you could live anywhere? Cost of living isn't a factor. I think weather and the people are the biggest factor for us as we don't have much family and will need to meet new friends. We both like to be near a big city and don't want to be in a small hick town. Anywhere redneck/republican like the deep south is completely out of the question even if I were given a 10 million dollar house there I wouldn't live there. My wife loves the ocean but hates natural disasters (hurricans, earthquakes)

Here are some places on our list:
San Francisco Area, napa valley
San Diego Area, specifically Carlsbad CA
Boulder Colorado
NY, Brooklyn (have some friends there)
South Florida (sunny isles beach/north Miami)
or Stay in Scottsdale (too damn hot in the summer, brutal)

Dry heat...Humidity is 30% lol....Now if you were to post it's 100 outside with humidity at 95% or above, then I'd give you a cookie.
