Blood Sports

So times have changed so much over the years, culture, society, people and everything in general. One question for you guys/gals if you could go back in time to say the Roman empire and had a chance to attend the actual blood sports, gladiators, lions fighting bears, tigers fighting men, whatever you get me..would you attend or not?? I read a pit bull book once ( not trying to start an animal abuse thread ) just saying as I was reading it back in the 1920's this was a very acceptable sport I even seen a ad that was an advertisement for a dog fight that actually the best seats were the Louisville board of alderman, politics man unbelievable!!! Anyway would you attend the blood sports?? I have to say I would in all honesty.

First both of you guys missing the point of the thread and second you guys are saying what you are saying based on your current point of view or upbringing. If you grow up in culture that dog fighting was normal what you are saying about dog fighting wouldn't even cross your mind. Just like there are places on this planet people eat what ever they can including cats, dogs, rats cockroaches and whatever else you can think of. Just like we love eating cows here but in scrum's country they are sacred.

Anywho...back to topic. If I can time travel I'd definitely go see a gladiator fight. Who here watches Spartacus? That show is freaking awesome. :D

I love animals more then anyone.

But being able be there and experience an amazing part of history would be a life changing event.

In this day and age no. but like bouncer said to go back in time yes. But if ya got to go back..would you have the knoledge you have now? Or go back in time and have that era's way of thinking? I think it would be amazing to go back in time and have the insite of todays world....
