Basically, our government have been making cuts to the military and police force numbers, there are seriously guys on the front line in Afghanistan who don't know if they still have a job when they get back home.

With this as a backdrop, the government, instead of using the Olympics as an opportunity to employ those police and military and thus reducing the need to make redundancies, instead chose to hire a private security firm Group 4 Security, known as G4S.

Once G4S won the contract for udles of millions of pounds, they immediately went on a recruitment drive employing everyone and anyone on Macdonalds wages and blasting some through basic security tuition.

Even with this shitely trained thrown together workforce G4S were forced to admit they were NOT on track to provide adequate manpower or safety.

So the government are forced to turn to the people they just shat on (military and police) and demand that they fill the gaps in security, G4S were forced to pay a penalty circa £50m but none of this money is going to police or army who are just told 'your being redeployed'.

Firstly it stinks, secondly it doesn't fill me with confidence about security.

Yea ok I have seen that reported on the news.

same shit they are doing to our service men, country is so jacked up they are reducing the size of our forces. So guys with 3 and 4 deployments under their belts medals on their chest and want to keep serving are getting forced out because they are over weight or some other BS excuse they can find so they can do the troop reductions. What the dipshits in washington fail to realize is now they go home and get on unemployment.... idiots....not fixing shit just making it worse and reducing our military at the same time..:disagree:
