  • Official London 2012 Paralympics Thread

    In before, and I'm going:sillyfu:

One thing I've realised in recent years is how the body I've been born with is something I've loved training and strengthening, differs from others.

Sometimes through birth or events people s bodies or minds are what we might call dissabled by modern form. The paralympics enabled those people the same as the olympics offers the likes of us, the opportunity to showcase their efforts and passion personified by physical amendments to the mainstream olympic events.

I'm really looking forward t:weights:o this

Not looking good for the England football team as most of the squad are already injured

guys have a lot of heart. you know they have just had a tough fucken life and they still get in front of cameras and do what they gotta do not letting anything stop them. its easy to work hard when you feel and look great, but when when the chips are down the guys and girls with true heart come out. nothing but respect for these athletes.

Well tonight I watched the Parralympics mens over 100kg/220lb class and all I can say is I was stunned!

Competitors as old as 54 and the victor Siamand Rahman set a new Parralympic record bench press at 282kg/620lb taking gold then for his final lift powered up 301kg/662lb, RAW!

Lift looked fine to me and he racked it but the judges didn't give the nod for some reason. Anyway he benched it as I saw with my own eyes.

Hats off to all competitors, the atmosphere was buzzing with positive energy and you could tell the competitors thrived on it.

Fucken iranian supporters were out of this world cheering for their competitor, reaqlly felt the vibe and before he attempted the max they were chanting some tribal stuff and the whole crowd were clapping and stamping their feet, sounded like a fucken heard of elephants, be must have fent his bench vibrating like thunder before he settled for his lift.

                            Great day!

Whats crazy is that the drug tested paralympics atheletes bench is actually close to mendlesons 715lb raw world record and he sure as hell isn't natty
