  • So sad!!!

So, my friend's little boy who is 9 years old was complaining about having a headache and being dizzy last weekend. So his mom took him to the ER and they found a brain tumor. The biopsy came back today and he has Glioblastoma Multiforme. They told my buddy that the little guy might have 12 months to live. :( I dont know what I'd do if it were one of my kids!!!

I don't know if I would put my child though all that treatment and have him sick and hope for a miracle or just take him home and try to make the most of his time. But it really makes you cherish the people you care about in your life, especially the little people.

Man that is truly truly sad. I understand what you are saying but there is always that little glimmer of hope. At the end you just don't wanna say I should've tried that treatment and maybe it could've worked.

Hope it all works out for the little guy.

Kids are so innocent and it's sad when you hear about this let alone having to experience it.

Yeah, I see your point, I guess try to get the best out of both sides. Give him an awesome life in between his treatments. Just knowing you might only have a year left with your child is unimaginable!! I don't think I could even function!

Real sorry to hear it frank. How is your friend holding up? I wouldn't be strong enough, would just kill myself if that was my son.

Real sorry to hear bro. Unfortunately, glioblastoma multiforme is one of the most agreesive and non-curable cancers out there. Obviously the family needs to make the decisions that make sense for them, but I think the focus needs to be on making the most of the time left.

His parents are having such a hard time. I know if they didn't have another son to be there for, my buddy would probably put himself in the ground with his little boy. I mean just the heart ache you see in their faces is something I've never seen before.

I really feel very lucky to have two healthy kids and I will never take that for granted!

Yeah, that's what I was saying. Why put him though all that shit if it isn't going to do anything but make him sick and uncomfortable. I would take him home and not even tell him what's wrong. Then just make the most of every second with him.

How do you tell a 9 year old that he is going to die? As a father, I don't even want to think about such a thing. :(

Thats tough, I want to live long and vibrant but if something happens, it happens, kids however deserve none of that

Thats Trajic as hell. I dont know how I would handle that one.I hope the family can remain strong and pray the lil man dont have to suffer.I would definatly have to try and make what time is left as much fun as could be had for the little guy within his capabilities to enjoy it no doubt!!

Sometimes we take so much for granted untill its "us" it happens to.

Just wanted to give an update on this little guy. The kid is a warrior! Just finished 33 sessions of chemotherapy, it was rough on him but he is feeling better now. Saturday they had a fundraiser for him put on by a friend of ours gym. Guys came from different states and Canada to compete in a powerlifting contest and help raise money. They raised over $30, 000 in one day! One guy is pretty well know I guess (I never heard of him until this) his name is Marshall "Freakshow" Johnson not sure if any of you know of him. But here is a little video from the day.
