  • when is it time to stop being big?

I already take very small cycles if you call it that more of a big TRT with GH.
2 nights ago I was doing legs and it was a "good" night I could tell when 315 felt like the bar. I did 405 for 12 reps pretty easy and though about going 5 plates knowing I could but was thinking why? what if i jack something up.
you guys know I am older than most when is it i should just lift to maintain and stay healthy? I am biggest now then ever not quite strongest but for sure biggest. back to 260lbs

do any of you have a goal then maintain or are you guys gonna push for ever? even when you push and it is not as good as last year keep pushing?

i would say when you start looking like shit. there is no too big if you can keep a tight waist and look good.

something like king kamali for example, looked amazing when he first started played the size game and went to shit.

even when you try and push to get bigger but you are weaker ect. I am not as strong as I used to be. I know strength dont make size but over all it matters.

If i ever get to fat I just up my GH dose, lol

ya i guess that is what I mean I can maintain my size now with good form but trying to go bigger I need to push heavy weights. 1 injury and i go back 10 steps

Just lift and train for health and to look good bro no need for all that superman lifting. Plus high reps keep you tight looking instead of the big puffy look of a power lifter.

This is where I'm at now...not doing martial arts or playing football, so how strong do I really need to be?! Just training for look...'mirror muscle' that's lean and proportional now at 38 years old. Don't need downtime due to injury or achy joints/tendons.

Four hundred pounds for twelve is very good and right in the muscle building zone for legs. I don't agree in doing a weight where you think you stand no chance of getting six reps.

I did for plates a side on flat bench the other day and only got four and that was with a touch. This was a mistake. I'm also squatting at the moment and what you have to remember is that while four hundred pounds felt predictable and relatively straight forward, one slip, twist out of alignment and you have an out of control four hundred pounds that chan do alot of damage.

I always remember jean piere feaux, the guy was a monster and did a photo shoot with a weight he'd used many times on squat, 600lb. He didn't put the safety bars up and when things started to go wrong he couldn't ditch. Well, the rest is history and you probaby seen the infamous picture. Wrecked all ligaments in his knees, career over and probably arthritic knees now. A yesterday athelete and no one gives a shit.

One of the worse things I've seen and my heart goes out to the guy. The point is he was huge and felt confident with seven plates a side then blam! Out of no where it gets out of control. With squats I'd say that anything over 450lb poses risk of significant injury. You really should be usting safety bars

I feel great anywhere from 200 to 220. For me trying to be bigger is just another job. Screw it. I want to walk downhill the rest of my life.
