I think you're selling yourself short.

You have various interests like science, history, travel, etc...

Given the proper circumstances you could be a happy obese nerd in no time.

lol @ hobby. bro you could give me a ferrari and a track and if i look like garbage i will not have a good time.
      I totally get that.
For some of us, this is it. The thing that matters the most. What we live and breath for. Noone can take that away from us.

Fuck people whining about not being able to enjoy life without drugs, they usually just substitute with a shittier drug anyway.

I don't think anyone is criticizing in this thread.

yea but all of those interest are so much more clear when i know i feel and look great. if i am off and i dont look so great my mind fogs and my interest in those other things sort of becomes blurred. its like its all on the foundation of the gym and hormones.

Yes absolutely. As long as I can maintain health through proper eating and some form of exercise. Do I prefer to be bigger and better with some type of assistance? Of course, but if it was not an option I would adapt.

You say that because you have the option. Adaptation is all about working with what you're dealt with. if the gym wasn't an option, you'd work around it. You think you wouldn't, because you haven't had to.

I know when I have been out of the gym from different injuries that i had a very hard time with it. i just cant imagine being happy without something that i absolutely love.

I have a hard time believing that you would give up on life if you were forced into an unfortunate situation (as discussed).
