Just one covering my right pec I got when I was a teenager. Smooth curve tribal free hand done by Keely Tacket. I looked for a big name that was close by from a tattoo magazine and I found her. She did a nice job; nice steady fine lines. But it's 20 years old with a lot of sun abuse so those fine lines are slowly blurring.

ya i hear ya on that I have alot of 20 plus yr old tats that are not as clean as they once were. never knew the sun messed them up untill maybe 10 yrs ago or so,lol

I'm not a fan of Booth's art style. I don't like all the demon shit, but his talent is undeniable. I think 100-150 is about normal most places.

the mami guys were famous fom TV so people will pay it. they are good artist though better than most but ya not 900 better.

if you are getting portrate(sp?) then i say pay the big bucks cuz they can look great or shit very easy,lol

My buddy got work done by Paul Booth; one of the best and most well known tattoo artist in the country and his was $250/hr. If an artist from MI charges 900/hr and people pay that's insane.
None of their work I've seen on the show justifies anything more than a well respected local tattoo shop.

Cali bro im not rich but investing $$$ in a reputable artist that will be held accountable for good work is ok with me. a mutual acquaintance to Rocket and I paid $900/hr @ Miami Ink. Not a bad investment at all imo. I appreciate the intent though.

ya they got 900 a hour cuz of the show but they are all pretty good damn artist but for that cash there is way better. but dude wqasnt tripping on cash so good for him,lol

Just a quick vent about the first shop. it was a referral from a friend supposedly a great artist. but what i fucking hate about some tattoo artists is their attitude like they are the shit and everyone else can cater to their schedule. fuck that.

when the receptionist (with his head covered and face covered) called me back and told me the artist wouldnt be able to start for 2 and a half hours later i flew off the handle. he had a week and doesnt start work till 12p you're telling me you cant get to work one hour earlier to draw the shit up? fuck you.

so based on principle i had to get my deposit. after the initial call i called them back and told the receptionist to not have my artist draw up the design. i did not tell him i was on my way to get my money back. when i got there the receptionist tried telling me to read the fine print that they didnt give back deposits. i told him look at the bold print the appt was 1p not 3 or 3:30 or whatever. the artist stands up and asks if i still wanted it. i told him yeah but not there. he instructed the recept to give me back my deposit i thanked him and walked out.

it was for the best i should have gone to my friend in the first place and it has since been good catching up as we use to be friends.

yes they are on there on time fuckers are always late,lol

So I put down a deposit last week.

My appointment is 1pm tomorrow. My sleeve will now go down to my wrist.

Cant wait. Fuck people who judge me and if they do I have the luxury of choosing who I want to do business with. But Scrum I appreciate the feedback. Im in a long sleevve shirt most days that Im in the field calling on customers.

The only other profession Id consider would require a long sleeve shirt as well.
