bro you get whatever you like, what you think has a bit of meaning, and allow your artist to work his magic. based on the pics you posted looks like you want horses/armory?

i've seen horses on people one of my roommates chicks has one on her forearm and its sick. the same acquaintance rocket and i share that paid $900/hr at miami ink got a family crest on a shoulder and it certainly does not look bad.

whatever you get you have to go big. nothing gayer than a teenie little tattoo on your ankle or something.

blm, tribal? man you didn't even have to say how old it was but thats cool man to each their own. 20 years ago tribal was in and the thing to do and some people (maybe blm's age group...jk we're prob the same age) still get tribal. Just like me right now whatever i get it doesnt matter in 20 years it wont be cool but it will be to me and i will have no regrets.

It's done. Took 5.5 hours, the snakes took him awhile. He asked for $700, I gave him $900. There is a globby layer of aquaphor so it's not very clear and the ink is a little chunky itself needs to peel off and heal over.

Artist is Sterling Nielsen, Fallen Angel Sac.

Obviously a talented artist. It does look like he spent more time and effort on the facial details and rushed the snakes. I would've expected greater detail on the snakes based on the standard he set with the face.

What's your honest opinion?

All I know is after he finished the first snake I thought, this is going to take waaayyyy longer than 3-4 hours.

Then he said it before me, after he did the first snakes head, "fuck this is tedious laughingly" (it was a personal friend) then he said that is why he limited the number of snake heads. I would say the face was knocked out in 1.5 hours. Although he charged me for 5.5 hours, my appt was from 2p and I left right around 10p. We had 4-5min smoke breaks so it was actually 6-7 hours of actual working. After 4 hours my arm began to swell and get very sensitive thats why most people stop around that time. At the 6-7 hour mark when he used another gun to do the dots on the snake I was fucking dying and was like hurry the fuck up sterling as hes laughing.

With the snakes (hair), he started very light, then went over the same spot a few times progressively getting darker and darker it was such a longass process.

I'm biased, so my vote doesn't really count to others but for me myself I couldnt be happier.

i have to disagree. i think the snakes her lips with the shading and detail are very good. it might look weird if you tried to do to much with the snakes. its just enough to not take away the from the face
