  • Samsung Galaxy Note II

Fucker is huge, my One X is huge for a phone and this thing way bigger. More of a mini tab computer.

"Samsung's got a handful of announcements to offer its mobile fans at IFA this year, and it's started big: with the Galaxy Note II. The new Android device packs a larger 5.5-inch, 1,280 x 720 16:9 screen, but still falls roughly within the same generous footprint of its predecessor. A year on, we've now got a more powerful SoC, up from a dual-core 1.4GHz processor to a new quad-core 1.6GHz Exynos chipset (yes, that's even faster than the one found in the Galaxy S III) and Android Jelly Bean right out of the box. Samsung's putting a lot of focus on making the most of all that screen space and S Pen functionality. We got our hands (both of them) on the Galaxy Note II just a few hours early, so after the gallery, skip past the break for our first impressions."

Funny how society went from wanting small phones then touch screens come out and bigger is better lol.

Think i wanna switch to a full touch screen phone but not sure what to get. I have the Droid 2 with qwerty board and i love it. always had problems typing with full touch screen phones.

those with touch screens, how do you deal with your typing on the screen.

the bigger the phone the easier cause the on screen buttons have enough space. i have have screen only for 3 years now, you get use to it.

too big and bulky regardless of what it can do (a shit load admittedly).

I went from bberries to iphone and that size (iphone) is perfect. Iphone for anything cell, just works perfect for me.

HTC One X is at the upper end of acceptable size IMO. Anything bigger would be a dealbreaker for me. Loving the One X so far!!!

Quote from B's link (emphasis on last sentence):

From where I’m standing, you should purchase the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 if

                      You can afford it (duh!)
You don’t mind the large footprint
You want a gargantuan display with S-Pen capabilities

On the other hand, you should go for the HTC One X if

You want a regular sized smartphone with a superb display
You’re on a somewhat tighter budget but want the ultimate best in smartphone tech

At $99, the HTC One X has got to be the biggest no-brainer purchase around.

yea and lol @ calling the htc one X "regular sized". i agree scrum, any bigger and it becomes a small tablet. lol

I love the HTC's larger screen though. I think they hit the sweet spot in terms of screen size. When I first got the phone, my wife pulls out her 4S, looks over and says "Damn, that's an awesome screen!" lol...

yea, iphone looks not only tiny but old fashioned looking next to it. way to much unused plastic on the front of the iphone where the one x is mostly screen.
