Awkward. i have no choice but to deal with people the their early 20's as my eldest is now 21 and I'm 40 (no once upon a time there).

Its great for me, but I'm not sure as to what role model I am to him. I act like a total retard half the time (hard to believe I know) but I think its doing him good, as he is learning that you are never too old to be an obnoxious bastard. He knows I treat people with respect where necessary but overall....well....yeah.

But..... on a day to day basis I find that its the late teens to mid twenties that cant talk to me, they see me as too old or unapproachable (40 year old skin head with full sleeve tatts), which is ok as I wouldn't want to talk to them, so it works.

I think as you get older you dont need the bs of youngsters and you avoid it, lets face it we were there and did what we could (consciously or subconsciously) to impress our role models or to take on our elders, we forget this. Well I think it may be the case for me........

Funny. IMO age is just a number. There are cool 20 year olds, and immature 20 year olds. Same goes for 50 year olds.
